It’s been one hell of a year …

Starry, Starry, Me

Just Cause and Effect: Selenium Deficiency in New Zealand, has managed 500 sales of its print version. That’s not a lot when you’re talking circulation figures for magazines and newspapers but for a non-fiction book published by an indie label, it’s, well, huge.

Big thanks for everyone who has read a copy, bought a copy, gifted a copy, written a review or a story, or talked about the book and of course to the retailers, information centres and libraries who have added Just Cause and Effect to their shelves making it even easier for readers to find.

This month Scorpio Books in Christchurch joined our retail network – an iconic destination bookstore this really is our perfect Christmas gift. It follows lots of hard work – true – and also the kind of happy coincidence that suggests even death cannot keep co-author Les Hailes’ from continuing his lifework.

Also this month, Amanda Nally was awarded a coveted Star Award from her peers at Southern Scribes – an Invercargill based group of accomplished published and pre-published writers who run the genre gamut from poetry through short stories to genre fiction to novels. This little beauty will be going straight to the top of the Christmas Tree.

On that warm fuzzy note, we’ll sign off for 2021.
