Lest we forget

To war and back again.

It’s an honor to be trusted with the stories of New Zealand’s veterans and in the case of George and Brenda Hicks it’s a unique dual perspective of a war abroad and at home.

The Invercargill couple were engaged in 1940 when George signed up – he would be away for five years serving in the Middle East and Europe in some of the bloodiest battles of the war. As the war dragged on Brenda in 1943 volunteered too – she would serve at Trentham Army Camp.

From Point to Point is their story – to war and back again.
